Pearl River Dinner Cruise

Tonight, Simon had a fun surprise for us: a dinner cruise down the Pearl River. We enjoyed a traditional Chinese dinner, but the best part was when the sun went down and the lights of the skyscrapers and bridges went on. We saw several of the buildings we have enjoyed all week in a whole new way. At the end of the cruise, a clown came out and did all sorts of juggling tricks while dancing to Ricky Martin tunes. I guess we are really "Livin' La Vida Loca."

I'm wearing my sailor outfit, but I don't look too happy about it.

Our dinner cruiser

Dinner consisted of traditional Chinese dishes including rice, noodles, fish and pork.

We recently saw Titanic, so I'm hoping she is not thinking of reenacting the "I'm king of the world!" scene. I do think this is a beautiful picture of Maddie.

This is pretty much how we looked all day: me looking at China in wonder and Wendy screaming. To prove it, my back muscles have pain they haven't felt in years.

Wendy says, "Thank goodness I am off this boat."

She is much happier reading. Hmm... is this destiny or what?

  1. Love the "keeping it real" pic of Wendy screaming and then the one of her perfectly happy reading!:)
The evening lights are beautiful. I'm wondering if we will be doing all these exact same things with Simon as well?! Also, am wondering about a jacket, do you think I will need something light for our trip at the end of next month? I'm prepared for hot & sweaty, but it seems a few are wearing jackets here and not sure if it's because it's April or if all evening there are cool?

  3. I blame the clowns for Wendy's cruise attitude. She will never be the same:). Linda
