Beijing Tour-Day 2: Temple of Heaven, Hutong Neighborhood, Acrobats and Peking Duck Dinner

Today we had another wonderful day in Beijing. We started off the morning at the beautiful, peaceful Temple of Heaven, which was a place where the Emperor prayed for rain and good harvests. The cobalt blue tile reminds us of our favorite kitchen tile.

Then, we toured a Hutong neighborhood, which is the oldest community located in the city center. The neighborhood is charming with its narrow alleys, ancient homes and quaint courtyards. We had a surprise event on our itinerary: a pedicab tour. We even got to pose for a picture in a bridal suite--notice the fun costumes.

We topped off the day with a swim in the hotel pool, followed by an acrobatic show and a Peking duck dinner.

Only two more days until we welcome Wendy to our family!
