We got the call!!!
After 6-1/2 years of waiting, Bill, Maddie and I are THRILLED to announce that we received our referral from China on Monday, Nov. 26. Our baby girl is currently 17 months old and lives in Shenzhen in Guangdong Province (on the southern coast of China near Hong Kong). We will call her Wendy Caroline. We hope to travel to China to bring her home in March or April. We are already in love with her beautiful face and can't wait to bring her home.

Congratulations on your Shenzhen referral!! When you are ready to get her newspaper finding ad (which has a wonderful color photo months younger than referral photos!) come visit us. We also have a lot of information about the orphanage, etc.

Congratulations! My husband and I adopted a little girl from Shenzhen 3 years ago yesterday! If you haven't already found it - there is a Yahoo group just for people who are adopting, or have adopted from, Shenzhen orphanages... You can get all sorts of info and see pictures of the orphanages from families that have been there! Just thought I'd let you know! Congrats again - I remember the feeling so well! :)
